The Woodox Management GmbH

  • Woodox Management GmbH was founded in November 2007. It is a full subsidiary of Erneuerbare Energieträger Verwertungs- und Beteiligungs GmbH, Vienna.
  • Alongside its trade with wooden pellets, Woodox operates the development and the management of pellet plants and cogeneration plants.
  • The objective is to supply private homes, local authorities, as well as customers from trade and industry, with renewable energy clear across Europe.
  • Woodox stands for product quality, delivery stability and security of supply.
  • Woodox is a partner of the pelleting plants:
    • Pelletsproduktion Sachsen GmbH
    • Pelletsproduktion Sachsen-Anhalt Süd GmbH
    • Pelletsproduktion Sachsen-Anhalt Nord GmbH
  • The triple security of supply is ensured by the three plants as well as the utilization of the three kinds of raw materials: wood shavings, chips and wood deriving from the thinning of forests.
  • Woodox is a member of the Deutsche Energie-Pellet-Verband e.V. (German Energy Pellet Association) and of Pro Pellets Austria.

The three partner plants

  • The plants were developed according to a tandem concept of pelleting plant and biomass-cogeneration plant.
  • Each of the three plants produces a minimum of 60,000 tons of wooden pellets annually. 11,000 households can be heated with this amount.
  • The heat generation of the three plants amounts to 51,5000 MWh a year; the power generation amounts to 11,400 MWh annually. This corresponds to the power consumption of 2,800 households. Each plant uses up to 500 tons of wood daily.
