A hot topic – the energy market
There is well-nigh no comparable market that has changed as fundamentally as the energy market has done during recent decades. CO2 balance sheet, greenhouse effect and scarcity of resources have led to a rethinking within the industry, in politics as well as among the general public. Alternative ways of heating have become – literally – a hot topic, not only due to government subsidies.
In order to be able to learn more about the needs of consumers, Woodox commissioned “Karmasin Marktforschung,” the renowned market research institute, with conducting a survey. According to the survey’s results, consumers who make use of renewable energy today view themselves as pioneers of a new trend. Environmental awareness and the desire to become independent of the heavily volatile market for fossil fuels constitute vital arguments for switching to heat supply deriving from biomass.
The cost benefits deriving from government subsidies and a reduced VAT rate are an additional incentive. Thus the conversion to a heating system based on pellets will be amortized after a few years. Over 120,000 pellet heating systems are currently in use in Germany, generating a demand of nearly one million tons of pellets – the trend continues upward.
The heavily fragmented European pellet market lacked a strong brand up to now, a brand standing for reliability and quality. Woodox closes that gap with triple security of supply and an extensive quality management.
